There is so much to learn and so little time to learn it. So much life to live on purpose and so little time to do it in. Have you noticed how quickly the days seem to go by?
In my weekly letters to you, I share some of the things God has been revealing to me, reminding me of, or pressing on my heart. I pray your capacity for light increases both to receive and to let shine.

Quality time with God
Dear Reader,
There is something of great sensitivity that I want to draw your attention to today. I pray your true ears are open to receive this message.
Your efforts for God are chaotic, often ineffective, and quite frankly, unacceptable until they become offerings of obedience. Now, don’t reject the message before I’m finished you can rest assured every letter is for your edification. Obedience is not making up instructions on behalf of God and trying to follow through with them that’s called, I’m sorry to say, religious delusion. Obedience is simple, God speaks and you do exactly what He has said. If you are asking, ‘What is God saying? from confusion rather than inquiry it is possible you haven’t fulfilled the first instruction He gives; COME.
Quality - the standard of something as measured against other things of a similar kind; the degree of excellence of something.
Time - the indefinite continued progress of existence and events in the past, present, and future regarded as a whole.
And He will call you even as you hurry along doing what you think you must or what brings you some semblance of satisfaction. Will you come? Because human nature is naturally self-centered you will hear His beckoning as, at best your next task to tackle, at worst a suggestion. altogether.
He will call you nonetheless. And soon your life will cry out for Him, a savior, a deliverer, a purpose. Yet your ability to hear not just His voice calling you, but His spirit drawing you is based on your ability to surrender, to make Him the central focus of your expended energies.
And when you do come, for you’ll have no choice, you’ll be surprised at what He wants from you; NOTHING.
Nothing you have, as it stands, can hold up in the light of His glory, in the presence of His majesty.
No, it is not for your offering that God calls you to Himself, but for His sacrifice for your good. And so His purpose will completely undo your reasoning, your fickle grasp on love and sonship and redemption.
The Lord is not calling you so you can DO anything for Him. He is calling you so you can BECOME of Him and growth occurs beyond what the natural eyes can see. This is why He calls each of us into a necessary WAITING…
The self-centered soul will see waiting through the lens of personal contribution, but when God calls you away to Himself He isn’t looking for you to DO. Don’t just start ‘doing something’… no, instead stop your doing and just be there.
Feel uncomfortable, feel inadequate, feel undeserving, let your anxieties roar, your short attention span show, let the truth of your hearts meditation be exposed, allow the facade you’ve called ‘self’ to fall away, and let yourself be consumed in His presence.
Accept His proposal into a love relationship, get to know Him, adjust your life to Him, let Him love you and teach you and transform you. His pace, His way, for His kingdom and His glory by His Spirit. It is only after the process of a surrendered response to His calling is long underway that you’ll have the capacity to hear Him say GO.
Quality Time with God is about the availability and surrender in spirit you are with Him, not just the number of minutes in isolation you have amassed. Quality Time with God teaches you not just what the words on the pages are but develops within you the ability to accurately hear what The Spirit of The Lord IS Saying. A crucial skill for the journey.
His Spirit within.
His Spirit upon.

After Resurrection
"The work of the cross is finished. Completed.
God’s Holy wrath was satisfied by the only sacrifice that could carry such a weight; Christ crucified."
Dear Reader,
I find it quite incredible that our Lord Jesus is both right here in every moment with us and already waiting to welcome us home in victory. Not too long ago I shared a moment of perspective that gives our lives in Christ value because of the cross and purpose that extends beyond it. I share this flicker of awareness with you now;
‘The work of the cross is finished. Completed.
God’s Holy wrath was satisfied by the only sacrifice that could carry such a weight; Christ crucified.
And it’s a wonder that the Father didn’t wait until sin fully had its way with us, but rather when all that there was was darkness and void He gave his only Son, a sheep to the slaughter.
This changes the way we see, not only Jesus but also ourselves.
Up from the obedient baptism, before a miracle in ministry, a declaration from heaven is made that Jesus is the Son of God, the beloved of the Father and in Him the Father is well pleased.
A pleasure that carries itself out in a death that happened before time started ticking, yet in time became so much more.
Death couldn’t hold him, the Grave couldn’t claim him, Hell broke because of Him, Sin died, but Jesus rose.
And it turns out now so do those in Christ. We too were crucified on the cross.
We too experienced resurrection power. We too are seated with Him at the right hand of the Father.
Right now.
Not in hyperbole, but literally. What more could we add to the work of the cross that was finished on our behalf?
Surrender is all there is to give, not good works.
Surrender, not self-righteousness.
Surrender, not self-mortification.
Surrender, not false humility. Surrender.
Because Christ’s death wasn’t for defeating the enemy, His resurrection was.
Christ’s death was to redeem us again into the Holy Father
The Father who has plans for us, not to enter heaven’s cul de sac. Plans for the extension of His rule here in this realm through us.
So I ask you, What are you doing with the life He gave you if you’re. not about the Father’s business?
You should know the Father’s delight is not in others being found to look like you,
but in their spiritual transformation to BE as HE IS.’
You see there is a purpose beyond just believing that Jesus is God and it is the Father’s desire that we live from this truth.
Praying for you as always dear one.
Grace & Peace

Oh to be HIS
Dear Reader,
I want to share a thought with you from earlier this month, August, the month of new beginnings.
‘The things that once made me afraid now provoke my worship for I am reminded at every roar of the enemy how my GOD has not failed to step in and rescue me. How His hand has not let me slip nor His word ever returns void.
The enemy ensures you can hear him as he tries to use intimidation to occupy your focus. Just as I start to consider that perhaps I am surrounded by the enemy and I begin to wonder if this time I’ll taste defeat I’m reminded that indeed I am surrounded actually.
Yet it won’t taste defeat because victory has already been won for me. The sound I was tempted to believe as the enemy encamping me was the sound of heaven’s army bringing in spoils.
When I look back and consider all the pits, traps, weapons, and attacks used against me all I see is reason without end to cast my crown again.
Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty
How sweet it is to be HIS.’
My prayer is that you too come to a place in revelation where there’s nothing you’ve been through that, when you look at it, you fail to see Gods hand and His goodness.
Grace & Peace,
LORI LaChelle
